The Holy Spirit is truly at work and has blessed our parish with many opportunities to serve God by serving others. In addition to our parish tithes and unexpected needs of others that may arise, we strive to have one parish-wide service/outreach opportunity each month. Our Christmas help provides basic needs for 800-900 students and their families in the Anderson Community. Items such as coats, hats, gloves, clothing are collected throughout the month of December at both St. Elizabeth Seton and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. These items are then given to Anderson students usually the second weekend in January. Volunteers are needed to help sort donations as well as assist with donation distribution. Information on how to give of your time and treasure is published in parish communications during the month of December.
Non-perishable food items are collected "Souper" Bowl weekend each February. Items are donated to the Merciful Help Center food pantry, serving over 250 families in Hamilton County each week. Click to view items needed.
St. Elizabeth Seton is one of five churches in Carmel who provide weekend "BackSacks" for students who receive free or reduced lunches and live in the Carmel Clay school district. BackSacks provide weekend breakfasts, lunches and snacks for children with food insecurities. We collect donations, and pack and deliver BackSacks to the schools two months each school year.
St. Martha's, our sister parish in Prestonburg, KY, provides much needed diapers and wipes to families with babies in the Prestonburg, KY community. We assist with the diapers and wipes through simply purchasing and shipping the diapers from Amazon in April and September each year.
St. Elizabeth Seton hosts the Carmel Summer Meals program each year. The summer meals program provides weekly groceries for children and families in the Carmel Clay School district who receive free or reduced meals during the school year. Volunteers are needed to pack groceries and distribute to families on Wednesdays throughout the summer.
Each summer St. Elizabeth Seton parishioners provide school supplies for preschool through middle school students at St. Paul's Catholic School in Marion, IN.

Each November St. Elizabeth Seton parishioners provide more than 100 families with a basket filled with fixings for a Thanksgiving Day meal, about a week's worth of groceries, and cleaning and personal hygiene items. Several volunteers are needed to fill and deliver the baskets, and both monetary and food donations are needed to provide for families in our community.

Two days each year the Stewardship Council at St. Elizabeth Seton organizes service opportunities throughout the community and at the parish giving parishioners an opportunity to give a few hours of their time.
